Italian Heritage, French Technique, and Southern Influences Shape the New Restaurant’s Contemporary American Cuisine
WASHINGTON, D.C. (October 12, 2026) – At Ten Ten West End, the newly debuted restaurant and bar inside One Washington Circle DC, Tapestry Collection by Hilton, Executive Chef Nicholas Fulginiti brings more than 15 years of culinary experience and a personal vision rooted in his Italian heritage, refined French techniques, Southern influences, and the seasonal flavors of the Mid-Atlantic.
An elevated neighborhood kitchen, Ten Ten West End is rooted in seasonal American cuisine, turning familiar comfort dishes into something truly special. The menu evolves throughout the year to showcase ingredients at their peak while maintaining the warmth and approachability of a neighborhood restaurant.
Fulginiti’s culinary journey began in Atlanta, where he grew up in an Italian family and discovered his passion for cooking through part-time restaurant jobs. He worked his way from line cook to sous chef at Murphy’s under Chef Ian Windslade before honing his skills in butchery and charcuterie under Chef Linton Hopkins at Holeman and Finch. After working at a few restaurants in Atlanta, including St. Cecilia, Chef Nicholas Fulginiti moved to Washington, D.C., where he served as executive sous chef at The Duck & The Peach before joining District Winery, eventually becoming an executive chef.
At Ten Ten, Chef Nicholas brings those experiences together through a menu that highlights seasonal ingredients and thoughtful culinary techniques. Familiar dishes are given a refined touch while allowing the natural character of the ingredients to remain at the forefront. Among the menu’s signature offerings is Chef’s Spicy Pork Sausage Ragù, made with lumache, whipped ricotta, basil, and aleppo pepper.
“My cooking has always been shaped by the places I’ve worked, the people I’ve learned from, and the food I grew up eating,” said Executive Chef Nicholas Fulginiti. “At Ten Ten, I’m bringing those influences together with a focus on fresh, seasonal ingredients. I’m excited to create menus that reflect my unique perspective while giving guests something new to discover.”
Restaurant operations will be overseen by industry veteran Christopher Blitz, who brings almost 20 years of hospitality experience to his role as General Manager of Ten Ten. Guests will benefit from Blitz’ management expertise as they enjoy consistent top-notch service in Ten Ten’s carefully curated atmosphere.
Located at 1010 New Hampshire Avenue NW in Washington, D.C.’s West End, Ten Ten offers a sophisticated expression of contemporary American cuisine, guided by the seasons and the culinary character of the Mid-Atlantic.
