September Happenings at Atlas Brew Works

Oktoberfest celebrations in Alexandria and Navy Yard and the closing of Ivy City

WHAT: Atlas Brew Works will host Oktoberfest celebrations at its Atlas Alexandria and Atlas Navy Yard locations this September, and is offering all pints for $5 at Atlas Ivy City throughout the month of September. Say goodbye to the Ivy City location on Saturday, September 27, as the solar-powered brewery moves its flagship location to Atlas Bridge District later this year.

Oktoberfest at Atlas Navy Yard Brewery & Tap Room - Friday, September 19 @ 11am

Celebrate Oktoberfest at Atlas Navy Yard on Friday, September 19, with $6 Festbier pints and $9.99 Festbier six-packs offered all day. All beer pints will be offered for just $6 from 5:30pm to 8:30pm, and guests are invited to enjoy live music from an Oompah band from 6pm to 8pm.

With a 6.1% ABV, Atlas’ Festbier is both lighter in color and body than a traditional Oktoberfest beer. With an increased hop profile and sweet bread notes imparted from a blend of Munich, Vienna, and Pilsner malts, Festbier results in a more drinkable lager. The delightful orange blossom aromas are owed to a combination of German and American hops. New this year, Atlas is no longer using plastic sleeves on beer cans, having switched to a digitally printed can supplier so all cans are 100% recyclable.

Oktoberfest at Atlas Alexandria Brewery & Tap Room - Saturday, September 20 @ 11am

Celebrate Oktoberfest at Atlas Alexandria on Saturday, September 20, with $6 Festbier pints and $9.99 Festbier six-packs offered all day. All beer pints will be offered for just $6 from 4:30pm to 7:30pm, and guests are invited to enjoy live music from an Oompah band from 5pm to 7pm.

Atlas Ivy City Brewery & Tap Room Closing Party - Saturday, September 27 @ 1pm

Join the team at Atlas Ivy City on Saturday, September 27, from 1pm to 8pm to say goodbye to the brewery's very first location. The Burger Shop and Dos Carnales food trucks will be onsite selling food, while Your Magik Aunties, a collective of potty-mouthed middle-aged witches, hold special tarot card readings and DC-based apparel company Bailiwick Clothing pops up with designs for sale. All draft beers at Ivy City are $5 throughout the month of September.
