The Embassy of the Dominican Republic will host Christmas in Harmony Concert: A Dominican Lyric Night
Washington, DC – Celebrate the spirit of the season with Christmas in Harmony: A Dominican Lyric Night, presented by the Embassy of the Dominican Republic in the United States. This free, festive candlelit concert will honor unity, peace, and hope through the universal language of music—showcasing the Dominican Republic’s artistic excellence beyond its globally recognized popular genres of Merengue and Bachata. The performance will take place on Sunday, December 7, 2025, at St. John’s Episcopal Church in Georgetown at 3:30 p.m.
This special concert will feature two of the Dominican Republic’s most distinguished classical artists—soprano Nathalie Peña-Comas and conductor and composer Darwin Aquino with the Trinity Chamber Orchestra, under the artistic direction of Richard Fazio. Together, they will present a program that reflects the country’s cultural richness and its growing influence on international concert stages as guests enjoy beloved holiday classics.
“Christmas in Harmony is an opportunity to share another facet of Dominican talent — one that thrives in symphony halls, conservatories, and opera houses around the world,” shares María Isabel Castillo Báez, Ambassador of the Dominican Republic. “It’s a celebration of identity, creativity, and cultural diplomacy, showing that the Dominican Republic’s artistic voice resonates across all musical languages, while spreading holiday cheer and joy to our local community.”
Following the concert, guests are invited to a cocktail reception hosted by the Embassy. Guests are invited to reserve complimentary tickets by visiting HERE. Tickets are required.
