6/2: Kick Off Golf Season with the U.S. Open Qualifiers at Woodmont Country Club

See Bubba Watson, Lee Westwood, and other golf greats tee off in Rockville, Maryland

WHAT: Woodmont Country Club is honored to host a 2025 U.S. Open Final Qualifier on Monday, June 2, 2025. With two championship 18-hole golf courses, a 9-hole par 3 course, and unparalleled indoor and outdoor practice facilities, including three putting greens, a short game practice area, an expansive driving range with indoor putting bays, and a putting studio, Woodmont’s golf facilities are unmatched.

Golf enthusiasts are invited to watch their favorites attempt to qualify for the U.S. Open as Woodmont was chosen as one of the 10 U.S. locations for the men’s major championship final qualifying on June 2. This will be the 39th time Woodmont has hosted this important qualifier. Two-time Masters Champion Bubba Watson, 2009 British Open Champion Stewart Cink, and 44-time tour winner Lee Westwood will all compete in the strongest field in the past 20 years. Returning to Woodmont is 2010 U.S. Amateur Champion Peter Uihlein (grandson of former Woodmont Head Golf Professional Tony Marlowe) along with 33+ PGA and LIV Tour players. They will be joined by a large contingent of players who advance from local qualifiers across the region. Gather for the ‘longest day in golf’ and watch the best compete over 36 holes for a spot in the U.S. Open. Play begins at 7am and continues throughout the day. Final qualifiers are open to the public at no cost to attend with food and beverages available for purchase onsite.
