NEW SHOWS ANNOUNCED AT CITY WINERY WASHINGTON DC

Washington, D.C. (May 13, 2019)—New live shows and special events are on sale this week at City Winery Washington DC (1350 Okie St NE). One of the biggest pop stars of the 1970s, Shaun Cassidy, brings his current tour to the intimate main stage in July. Also, on sale this week are special performances by blues legend Gary Hoey in the Wine Garden, British indie rocker Fink doing a solo North American tour, singer songwriter Tyrone Wells and his “Lift Me Up” tour, dynamic duet Jackopierce, the thoughtful and provocative Nashville-based band Nappy Roots, and Jon McLaughlin with his “Me & My Piano” tour featuring Sawyer. Tickets to new shows go on sale at 3pm Wednesday, May 15 to City Winery’s exclusive VinoFile™ members, and go on sale to the general public at 3pm on Friday, May 17 at www.citywinery.com/washingtondc/ where a full performance schedule is available.
Tomorrow night The B.B. King Blues Band featuring Michael Lee takes the main stage, followed on Wednesday by Nicole Henry. In the Wine Garden, a dog-friendly summer series called “Dog Days on the Wooftop” kicks off, benefiting the Humane Rescue Alliance. On Thursday the wine team leads a blind tasting workshop in the Barrel Room restaurant, while Jackie Greene with Elise Davis takes the venue stage. And the week closes out with two special performances – Suzy Bogguss in the venue and Laura Gibson in the Wine Garden. On the ground floor, the wine team leads White Wine! Drink & Learn. The weekend brings a diverse set of music to each stage. On Saturday The Blasters perform with Jumpin’ Jupiter, while Sunday welcomes Jonatha Brooke for a release of the new album “Imposter” and the JxJ (Washington Jewish Music Festival) returns to City Winery with Tio Chorinho in the Wine Garden.
City Winery’s first floor Barrel Room Restaurant & Wine Bar recently launched a fresh spring menu from Executive Chef Brandon Ingenito. Perfect for pre or post-show dinner and drinks, reservations can be made at www.citywinery.com/washingtondc/. Additionally, guests can experience a range of City Winery’s wines at the Tasting Bar, located in the entrance alcove.
All shows at City Winery start at 8pm unless otherwise noted, and City Winery’s website is updated weekly with special guest announcements and ticketing information. Valet parking is available during all City Winery hours of operation.
