The Dupont Circle Hotel Names Shaun Henesy as Director of Food & Beverage
Washington, DC – The Dupont Circle Hotel has announced the appointment of Shaun Henesy as Director of Food & Beverage, bringing more than 15 years of luxury hospitality experience and a proven track record of leading sophisticated, high-volume food and beverage operations to the legendary Washington, D.C. property.
In his new role, Henesy will oversee the hotel’s food and beverage operations, including its signature dining and hospitality concepts including The Pembroke, Doyle Bar and Doyle & Co. With a focus on exceptional guest experiences, culinary excellence, and operational performance, Henesy will lead the property’s diverse food and beverage offerings.

Henesy joins The Dupont Circle Hotel with extensive experience across some of the hospitality industry’s most respected luxury brands and properties. Throughout his career, he has led complex, multi-outlet food and beverage operations spanning Forbes Five-Star resorts, landmark convention hotels, boutique properties, and corporate dining programs.

Known for his versatility as an operator, Henesy has experience reimagining flagship restaurants, overseeing Michelin-caliber culinary programs, and managing large-scale, high-volume operations. He has built his career around elevating the properties he leads, transforming outlets into award-winning destinations while developing the financial, operational, and service frameworks necessary to support high-performing teams.
Over the course of his career, Henesy has collaborated with and learned from some of the industry’s most renowned culinary talents, including Jean-Georges Vongerichten, Eric Ripert, Geoffrey Zakarian, and Michael Schulson. His work has earned recognition from Forbes, Wine Spectator, and other leading hospitality and culinary publications. He has also represented his properties on national leadership councils focused on shaping brand strategy and advancing the hospitality industry.
Henesy brings a hands-on approach to hospitality leadership, balancing strategic business expertise with a deep understanding of the guest experience, and the day-to-day realities of operating successful food and beverage programs.
