Wren’s executive Chef Yo Matsuzaki holds Cherry Blossom season close to his heart as he shares his favorite recipes featured on the menu including, “Bara Chirashi,” assorted sashimi with unagi pickled radish served over sushi rice and “Chawan Mushi,” japanese egg custard accompanied by spring vegetables and smoked trout caviar.

“Bara Chirashi is usually eaten for celebration. When I was a kid, I used to eat it with my family under the cherry trees in spring to admire the blossoms. The Chawan Mushi features seasonal vegetables like Asian mushrooms and English peas, and it will be garnished with cherry blossom flowers,” said Matsuzaki

The Watermark Hotel is also excited to feature a hotel package stay for family and friends traveling to Washington, DC this Cherry Blossom season. Guests can book their Cherry Blossom package that includes a suite with a complimentary breakfast buffet and parking. To gain the full experience as an insider tip, guests can ask for a suite on a high floor for a view of the blossoms, get a workout in with a view from the Sky Fit on the 25th floor or book a table at window table at Wren and enjoy their special Cherry Blossom menu!
