RAMW Highlights Summer Restaurant Week To-Go Menus

Signature promotion extended and expanded to promote restaurant recovery efforts

Washington, DC—Restaurant Association Metropolitan Washington (RAMW) announced today the roster of restaurants participating in Summer Restaurant Week from Monday, August 17, to Sunday, August 30, which includes 200+ locations ranging from fast-casual eateries to traditional dining destinations. The biannual promotion has also expanded this cycle to include a to-go program featuring meals for two or four people, as well as cocktail and wine pairings, available over two full weeks to encourage support of hundreds of restaurants throughout Metropolitan Washington.

In addition to multi-course lunch and brunch menus available for $22 per person, Summer Restaurant Week will offer specialty take-out dinner pricing this year:

Those looking for a socially distant family or date night activity can bring their Summer Restaurant Week curbside or carryout meals to enjoy in the car for Events DC’s Park Up DC, a pop-up drive-in movie summer series at RFK Stadium.

Restaurants offering to-go menus with optional cocktail or wine pairings include Maple Ave Restaurant and Xiquet DL, fast-casual eateries like Sloppy Mama’s and Bub & Pop’s, and fine dining spots like Bond 45 and Joe’s Seafood, Prime Steak & Stone Crab. First time Restaurant Week participants also include Annabelle, Mekki, and Rooster & Owl.

Summer Restaurant Week 2020 could not have happened without the incredible support of Events DC and JBG SMITH as the partners have offset all participating costs so restaurants can partake without financial burden.

“JBG SMITH is thrilled to be able to serve as the presenting sponsor of this year’s extended Restaurant Week, expanding our ongoing partnership with RAMW,” said Amy Rice, Senior Vice President of Retail Leasing at JBG SMITH. “Small and local businesses are the backbone of successful, vibrant communities and we want to ensure DC’s irreplaceable neighborhood favorites not only survive but thrive.”

Diners can visit the Restaurant Week website at www.rwdmv.com to view participating restaurant menus and to make reservations. Additional Restaurant Week sponsors include National Landing BID, Streetsense, NBC4, and OpenTable.
