The hotel welcomes guests to experience upgraded guest rooms, enhanced meeting spaces and more
Arlington, VA (March 9, 2026) — Westin Crystal City (1800 Richmond Hwy) is reopening its doors following a transformative, property-wide renovation, unveiling a sleek and luxury experience for both business and leisure travelers. Located adjacent to the Crystal City Metro station and just one mile from Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport, with complimentary airport shuttle service available, the hotel offers seamless connectivity to Washington, D.C., U.S. Government offices, shopping, and dining.
Set to debut at the end of the month, the comprehensive renovation reimagines the hotel from top to bottom, introducing 223 fully redesigned guest rooms and suites, refreshed lobby and social spaces, a new restaurant concept, and enhanced meeting and event venues.
The redesigned interiors reflect a modern aesthetic inspired by the movement and tranquility of the nearby Potomac River. Clean architectural lines, warm natural textures, layered lighting, and a calming neutral palette create an atmosphere that feels both elevated and inviting. The lobby has been transformed into a sophisticated social hub, blending modern furnishings with thoughtfully curated design elements that encourage connection and relaxation.

Guest rooms have been modernized with refined finishes and functional elegance, featuring Westin’s signature Heavenly® Beds, expansive city views, high-speed internet, and HDTVs. The updated design prioritizes both comfort and productivity, creating a seamless balance for today’s traveler.
Overseeing operations, General Manager Vikas Lalwani is pleased to unveil the renovations to upcoming and returning guests. Lalwani, a well respected executive within the hospitality industry is recognized for his strategic direction and highly involved leadership. With an 18 year tenure with Marriott, Lalwani is thrilled to lead the new chapter Westin Crystal City will unfold in the upcoming month.
