Exciting Ongoings at ala Bethesda this January

WHAT: ala is starting the new year off  with participation in RAMW Winter Restaurant Week, extended brunch for Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Dry January mocktails and National Hot Tea Day offerings. Please see below for full details on all offerings, all of which will be served at the Bethesda location.

Winter Restaurant Week at ala

ala is thrilled to participate in this year’s RAMW Winter Restaurant Week. Beginning Monday, January 19th through Sunday, February 8th, guests are able to enjoy a delightful four-course dinner with  optional wine and cocktail additions. The menu will include a selection of hot and cold mezzes for guests to choose from,  a main dish, as well as  two delicious desserts to pick from, for $55 per person. For beverage enthusiasts, ala will be offering a Levantine Wine & Cocktail Experience which includes two cocktails and two wines for an additional $30 per person. Martin Luther King 3-Day Weekend Brunch

In honor of  Martin Luther King Day, ala will offer an extended brunch on Monday, January 19th. Enjoy a delectable brunch buffet menu including bottomless drinks, signature cocktails, coffee and tea. The buffet will include a wide variety of options,  ranging from fresh fruit to charcuterie to baked goods, meat and seafood. Brunch will only be available at ala’s Bethesda location. Spend Dry January at ala

Enjoy ala’s mocktail creations during Dry January! Guests are welcome to sip on the refreshing and fruity creations below:

  • Qiraz Fizz: cherry, cucumber, lemon and sparkling water

  • Rumaan Nana: pomegranate, iced black tea and mint

  • Sumac Lemonade: sumac infused house-made lemonade

  • Shams Bir: turmeric-infused black tea and pear

All mocktails are also available on the daily menu at ala’s Bethesda location. 


National Hot Tea Day

Celebrate National Hot Tea Day at ala Bethesda. Savor the delicious teas below: 

  • Levantine Tea: black tea, hibiscus, rose and mint

  • Digestive Tea: pomegranate peel, fennel seeds and mint

Healing Tea: clove, turmeric, chamomile and sage

ala is a Levantine restaurant that opened its first location at 1320 19th St NW, Washington DC in 2021, and followed it with a Bethesda location at 4948 Fairmont Ave in 2023. It aims to bring flavors of the Levant region to the area including dishes from Syria, Israel, Lebanon and Turkey.
