Lobby Bar Will Open on Capitol Hill In May

Washington, DC (April 30, 2025) - Located across from historic Eastern Market, Lobby Bar (224 7th St SE) is excited to begin accepting dinner reservations starting Friday, May 16. Offering a refined yet playful take on classic American fare and expertly crafted cocktails, the 2000 sq-ft restaurant is designed to be a gathering place for all. Guests can start making reservations for May 16th using Resy HERE. 

Chef Andre Williams, a DC native, brings Lobby Bar’s thoughtfully designed menu to life through his refined yet approachable style. Guests can choose from starters like Hamachi Crudo, thinly-sliced yellowtail marinated in a yuzu ponzu sauce topped with chilies and crispy shallots; or the housemade Lobby Nuggets, featuring tempura battered chicken served with scratch-made honey mustard and an option to add a caviar topping.

For the main course, a mix of options from land and sea are available for guests to enjoy. From A Double Smash Burger - two 3oz beef patties, American cheese, shaved red onion, and Lobby Bar’s ‘special sauce’ is served with fries. Maryland-Style Crab Cakes are deep fried and served with lemon and asparagus. Additional offerings include Spicy Rigatoni, fresh made with  Calabrian-style tomato sauce, parsley oil and parmesan; and Prime Rib, slow roasted and sliced to order with horseradish cream, natural jus and creamy spinach. The Lobby Bar menu is rooted in American comfort, with opportunities to indulge in high-end ingredients. 

Tory Pratt, founder of DC based Pratt Standard Cocktail Company, is eager to bring unique recipes to Lobby Bar’s cocktail and martini program. The House Dirty Martini uses caper brine for a unique twist, while the Specialty Dirty Martini features an olive oil wash and oyster brine. The Earl Grey Arnold Palmer uses Bulleit Bourbon, Pratt Standard’s ‘ Earl Grey Vanilla Syrup’ and lemon. A variety of other cocktails, wines and beers round out the beverage options.
