Boston Banshees Kick Off Season 2 of Women’s Elite Rugby this May

Banshees Open Second Campaign on May 2; Home Opener on May 16

BOSTON, MA –  The Boston Banshees return for the 2026 Women’s Elite Rugby (WER) season, continuing their run in the first professional women’s rugby league in the United States. The Banshees will open their campaign on Saturday, May 2 at 5:00 PM ET at home against the New York Exiles. 

Led by Head Coach Kitt Ruiz, the Banshees enter their second WER season representing one of the country’s most historic rugby markets. Returning player Yeja Dunn was WER's top scorer last year, with 12 tries through 10 matches. Kate Boggs joins the Banshees following a successful senior season with Coast Guard Women's Rugby, where she led the team to a national championship and was named National Collegiate Rugby Player of the Year.
