Atlas Brew Works Claims Gold Medal for Silent Neighbor at the World Beer Cup

Atlas core beer claims highest honors in Export Stout category

Washington, DC—Atlas Brew Works is ecstatic to announce its Silent Neighbor won gold in the Export Stout category at the World Beer Cup on Wednesday, May 10. Presented by the Brewers Association, World Beer Cup is the most prestigious beer competition in the world and recognizes the art and science of brewing.

With a 6.7% ABV, Silent Neighbor is made with generous portions of rye and blackstrap molasses, and opens with notes of rye, chocolate, and roasted barley blended with rich molasses and subtle fruity bitterness. Named as a homage to the historic Mount Olivet Cemetery, across from Atlas’ flagship Ivy City location, the award-winning stout is the perfect haunt for any season.

The World Beer Cup recognizes brewing excellence in 103 categories but does not automatically award the top three entries in a particular category. A panel of 272 judges evaluated 10,213 entries from 2,376 breweries representing 51 countries. See the full list of World Beer Cup winners at worldbeercup.org/winners/current-winners
