9/29 + 9/30: DC “Poker Run” and bingo event benefiting Chance for Life
WHAT: Poker Run
On Sunday, September 29, Chance for Life and culinary partner Chicken + Whiskey co-host a “Poker Run” to close out Pediatric Cancer Awareness Month. Restaurants along the 14th Street/U Street Corridors will host bar game competitions (e.g. quarters, darts, card throwing, etc.) at each location. Guests must complete each of the five challenges to earn a playing card, forming a poker hand. Once all five playing cards have been collected, participants will return to Chicken + Whiskey for a closing party to submit their poker hands. The guests with the top three poker hands will win:
· First Prize – Trip to Los Angeles, California – Roundtrip airfare for two (2) by Southwest Airlines and a two-night stay at The Line Hotel
· Second Prize – Two (2) Chance for Life Poker Tickets + Four (4) Chance for Life VIP Taste Experience Tickets – Saturday, February 22, 2020 @ MGM National Harbor
· Third Prize – Two (2) San Francisco 49ers at Washington Redskins Suite Level Tickets for Sunday, October 20 + one (1) parking pass included
All participating restaurant locations will offer drink specials during the event with a percentage of bar proceeds benefiting Chance for Life. For additional rewards, guests are invited to enjoy a ticket raffle at Chicken + Whiskey to win a multitude of prizes. 100% of all ticket and raffle proceeds benefit Chance for Life.
Bingo Event
On Monday, September 30, Chance for Life restaurant partner Call Your Mother Deli will hold a bingo event benefiting pediatric cancer research. From 5pm to 8pm, join your favorite Jew-ish Deli for bingo night complete with good food, fun prizes, and lots of drinks, all for a good cause. All-inclusive tickets are available for $200 with 75% of revenue going to Chance for Life.
