12/13: National Kiss Under the National Mistletoe: DowntownDC BID’s Record-Breaking Holiday Event

WHAT: The DowntownDC BID is inviting you to make “KISS-TORY” on Saturday, December 13 as hundreds of couples will come together beneath the holiday-themed National Mistletoe installation at Anthem Row for a synchronized kiss in an official attempt to break the GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS™ title for the most couples kissing under mistletoe. The event is free to attend, open to the public.

On-site capacity is limited so participants are encouraged to arrive early for check-in. 

WHEN:
Saturday, December 13, 2025

3:00 PM – 6:00 PM (record-setting moment scheduled for approximately 5:00 PM)

  • 3:00 p.m. | Grab some bites, sip drinks, take photos & enjoy live entertainment

  • 4:00 p.m. | Gather under the National Mistletoe & get ready to break the world record

  • 5:00 p.m. | National Kiss GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS™ attempt

  • Food and drinks available from City Tap House and Root & Vine (available for purchase) 

  • Photo-booths, live art installations, and festive holiday ambiance to capture the holiday spirit.
