1/18 – 1/31: Metropolitan Washington Winter Restaurant Week

Signature promotion resets to meet needs of a changing local industry and give diners something to celebrate this winter

WHAT:  Winter Restaurant Week, presented by Restaurant Association Metropolitan Washington (RAMW), returns as the biannual celebration of the region’s resilient restaurants that continue to serve as the cornerstones of our communities. As diners seek a variety of different options to dine out and restaurants reset their approach to hospitality through the colder months, Restaurant Week will give both diners and restaurants something to celebrate in January.

This year has been all about finding new ways for people to dine and support our amazing local restaurants with dine-out-at-home take out, delivery, and winter outdoor dining options. And, since summer’s Restaurant Week installment, we continue to look for ways to support talented hospitality professionals and the irrepressibly strong, community-minded industry. As indoor dining is limited in many parts of our metropolitan region, Winter Restaurant Week will include a robust to-go and delivery program, to-go cocktail and wine pairings, and the promotion will be offered over two full weeks, encouraging the support of restaurants throughout DC, Maryland, and Northern Virginia.

Participating restaurants will offer multi-course dinner menus for $35 or $55 per person. Many restaurants will also offer specially priced to-go dinner meals, available at two price points intended to fit a range of budgets and tastes. Where possible, restaurants will provide contactless or curbside pickup, personalized options that offer even greater reason to take advantage of the promotion.

One Person: $35 | $55

Two People: $60 | $100

Four People: $120 | $200

Optional cocktail or wine pairings will be available a la carte for on-premise where allowed, outdoor, or take-out enjoyment. Multi-course lunch and brunch menus will also be available for $22 per person.

“We recognize how fragile the industry is at this time and that our restaurants continue to work hard to stay afloat and come out of this challenging period. We continue to support our restaurants through programming that is tailored to fit the unique and constantly changing needs during a time when the weather is colder and dining out can be enjoyed in various ways that include outdoor dining on heated patios and by dining out at home via takeout and delivery options. The Winter 2021 promotion dates were chosen thoughtfully and purposefully to support restaurants early in January and as an opportunity to welcome guests who are traveling to the area during the Inaugural week, as well as, giving our local diners who continue to support the industry one their most widely anticipated dining promotions.” says Kathy E. Hollinger, President and CEO of the Restaurant Association Metropolitan Washington.

The official Restaurant Week website at www.rwdmv.com will launch in the coming weeks. Diners should visit the site to view participating restaurant menus, to make reservations, or to place orders. Participating restaurants will be added to the Restaurant Week website as they join the promotion.
