NEW SHOWS ANNOUNCED AT CITY WINERY WASHINGTON DC
Ivy City Winery Adds Diverse Acts to Lineup 

Washington, DC (October 15, 2019)—City Winery Washington DC (1350 Okie St NE) has added several new shows to the Concert Venue and Wine Garden slated for the fall and winter. Newly added shows include Soul, R&B, Folk, Go-go, Americana, Country, and Comedy acts.       

There are many big-name acts to look forward to this fall at City Winery! Alice in Chains frontman William DuVall will perform music from his new solo album, One Alone, on 10/26. Called the “great American romantic” by the New York TimesEdwin McCain plays at City Winery DC on 11/13. Don’t miss your chance to hear “I’ll Be” and “I Could Not Ask for More” live. Also new to the fall lineup, attendees can celebrate the music of the incomparable Stevie Wonder with the tribute party WONDER-Full in the Wine Garden on 11/2.Secret Society returns for another jam session on 11/17Local legendary Go-go troupe Suttle will have guests dancing the night away 11/26. On 11/30, ensemble Chopteeth closes out the month in the Wine Garden with a mix of jazz, funk, and afrobeat.

 

The winter lineup fills out with various acts. Murder Mystery Comedy Show: The Newly Dead Game, an interactive live comedy show kicks off the new year in the Wine Garden on 1/4. Charismatic R&B singer-songwriter, Alegebra Blessett returns to the winery 2/13. In the Wine Garden, Bluegrass trio, Barnes, Gordy, and Walsh perform their musical collaborations on 2/23. Kasim Sulton performs classic hits from his days in Utopia and music from his solo album on 2/28.

 

This week at City Winery, Bob Schneider will take the stage tonight to play songs from his 2018 album Blood and Bones. Best friends Grace Atwood and Becca Freeman do a live recording of their podcast, Bad On Paper on 10/16. Next, Marc Cohn, the voice behind the hit “Walking in Memphis” will perform on 10/17.

 

This weekend starts with a variety of acts. On 10/18, Blues musician and guitarist Jimmy Thackery performs in the Wine Garden. Downstairs in the concert venue, Third Day frontman Mac Powell plays with his new project, Mac Powell and The Family. R&B icon Raheem DeVaugn plays two sold out shows on Saturday 10/19. Rhett Miller and Elaina Kay close out the weekend with sets of acoustic and Americana music on 10/20.

 

City Winery’s first floor Barrel Room Restaurant & Wine Bar is available for pre or post-show dinner and drinks. Reservations can be made at www.citywinery.com/washingtondc/. Additionally, guests can experience a range of City Winery’s wines at the Tasting Bar located in the entrance alcove, Open Friday 5-8PM, Saturday 1-6PM, and Sunday 1-5PM.

 

All shows at City Winery start at 8pm unless otherwise noted. City Winery’s website is updated weekly with special guest announcements and ticketing information.
