Penny Chocolates & Gelato opened in 2005. Originally located in Olney, MD, owner and pastry chef Cheryl Schneider moved the store to Fairfax Commons in Fairfax, VA in 2009. Named for Chef Schneider’s beloved long-haired dachshund Penny, Penny Chocolates & Gelato features handmade artisan chocolates and truffles, authentic gelato, an assortment of baked goods from scratch and customizable gift baskets for any occasion.
